Types of Butt Weld Fittings

Elbow (90°, 45°, 180°, Male/Female)

Buttweld Elbows are essential components used to change the direction of flow in a piping system. Available in 90°, 45°, and 180° angles, these elbows are designed to withstand high pressure, corrosive environments, and temperature fluctuations. We also offer Male and Female Elbows for special process requirements.

  • Smooth flow transition reduces turbulence and pressure drops
  • Available in Short Radius (SR) & Long Radius (LR) configurations
  • Manufactured in Stainless Steel, Duplex, Carbon & Nickel Alloys
  • Supplied with 100% Radiography, MTCs, and optional third-party inspections

Tee (Equal Tee, Reducing Outlet Tee)

Buttweld Tees are used to either combine or divide fluid flow in process pipelines. We offer both Equal Tees (for same-size branch connections) and Reducing Outlet Tees (for different-sized branching). These tees ensure smooth flow, structural strength, and leak-proof connections, making them suitable for high-pressure and corrosive environments.

  • Provides strong branch connections in pipelines
  • Available in Equal and Reducing configurations
  • Manufactured from Stainless Steel, Duplex, Carbon & Alloy Steels
  • Complies with ASME/ANSI B16.9 and supplied with MTCs & test reports

Cross (Equal Cross, Reducing Cross)

Buttweld Cross Fittings are used to connect four pipe sections at right angles, making them ideal for complex pipeline layouts in industries where multi-directional flow is required. We offer both Equal Crosses (with all four ends the same size) and Reducing Crosses (with one or more branches of smaller diameter).

  • Enables efficient 4-way fluid distribution in a single joint
  • Available in Equal and Reducing sizes to suit custom pipeline needs
  • Offered in Stainless Steel, Duplex, Carbon Steel & Exotic Alloys
  • Precision-manufactured as per ASME B16.9 with full traceability & certifications

Cap (Pipe End Cap)

Pipe End Caps are used to seal the ends of piping systems or pressure vessels, providing a secure and reliable closure. These fittings help prevent contamination, leakage, and environmental exposure, making them essential for pipeline protection and system shutdowns.

  • Effectively seals pipe ends to prevent leakage or ingress
  • Used for temporary or permanent closure of pipelines
  • Manufactured in Stainless Steel, Duplex, Carbon & Alloy Steel
  • Available in various schedules and sizes as per ASME/ANSI B16.9

Stub End (Lap-Joint Stub End)

Stub Ends are primarily used with Lap Joint Flanges, allowing quick disassembly and inspection in piping systems. They are ideal for systems that require frequent dismantling for cleaning, inspection, or replacement, especially in low-pressure and non-critical applications.

  • Enables quick and easy flange rotation and alignment
  • Minimizes flange corrosion by reducing exposure to media
  • Offered in both short and long patterns (Type A, B, C)
  • Available in Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Duplex, and Nickel Alloys

Nipple (Swage Nipple & Pipe Nipple)

Nipples are short lengths of pipe used to connect two fittings or pipes in a piping system. Swage Nipples are used to transition between pipes of different diameters, while Pipe Nipples are straight connectors typically threaded at both ends.

  • Swage nipples available in concentric and eccentric types
  • Pipe nipples available in threaded, plain, and beveled ends
  • Offered in various schedules from Sch 10 to Sch XXS
  • Manufactured in Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Duplex & Carbon Steel
